August Friedrich Ferdinand was born on May 10th, 1839 in Buddendorf.  August Friedrich Ferdinand's father was "Joachim" Friedrich MITTAG, Bauer Buddendorf and his mother was Wilhelmine  DREBLOW oo MITTAG *Buddendorf.  His paternal grandfather was Johann  MITTAG Bauer in Jacobsdorf; his maternal grandparents were Johann Christoph DREBLOW and Anna Sophie MARCKS oo DREBLOW.  He had eight brothers and four sisters, named "Karl" Friedrich, Johann Friedrich Wilhelm , Joachim Friedrich Hermann, Friedrich Wilhelm , August Friedrich Ferdinand, Johann Friedrich Ferdinand, Franz Wilhem, Johann Friedrich Hermann, Friederike "Wilhelmine" Louise , Jo"hanne" Friederike , Albertine Luise  and Maria "Louise" .  He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 1 on January 29th, 1841.
